Comache

Comanche is one of my favorites! He is very personable although a bit "quirky" too. He is alert and animated, forward and bold. He loves to jump and trail ride, but is great in the arena as well. He rides in either english or western tack and is reported to drive as well although I have not hitched him yet. My husband gets along well with him and we have let friends trail ride him too, but because of his forwardness and strength, I'd say an intermediate rider would do best with him. He is stout, but athletic and responsive. I think he'd be a blast fox hunting with a faster moving field and a bold rider. Although he doesn't really have any bad habits, I do not recommend him for beginners, timid riders or child riders due to his sensitivity and strength.

Callie

Callie is a wonderful example of a "versatile draft cross"! She is athletic and responsive, but with a sweet, loving personality. She would be equally at home pulling a carriage downtown, in the hunt field or as a vaulting mount. Make sure to see her jumping pictures as this mare can JUMP! She is broke to ride and drive (single and double) and goes in any tack (english, western or bareback). She was my husband's second horse and served him well. She is dependable and fun out on the trail teaching him confidence, great in lessons and instrumental in teaching him to jump. She is always brave and steady to the fences. Callie is sweet and gentle, but a bit too responsive for new riders. This mare is always looking to please her rider. She has great ground manners, clips, loads, trailers, washes and is good for the vet and the farrier. She has great feet and is barefoot.

Rylynn

This big, beautiful young Shire Cross mare is as classy as she is athletic and full of potential. Unique coloring that will get you both noticed!!! Line backed, dappled Dun/Buckskin with two tall white hind socks, a blaze and feathers, too!!! A wonderful temperment for any discipline, good ground manners and sweet disposition. Rylynn was "home grown" by a good friend of mine that breeds and trains Shires. She grew up in a herd environment and was not started until she turned 3. She was broke to drive in a team originally and was being used to start new colts to driving within 6 months! She was started under saddle as a coming 4 yr old and has been gentle enough to use on a dude string with beginner riders out on the trail. She is green, but mellow and willing with a good work ethic. She has a big jump with good form and is a great prospect for field hunting, husband horse, driving, etc. not to mention she can give you some beautiful sport horse babies, too!

Tootsie

Tootsie is one of my absolute favorites!! This little, stout mare is as cute and friendly as they come and she is athletic and fun, too. I know the sweet lazy ones have their place, but this mare is safe, broke, sound and FUN! She is all game for whatever you want to try. She loads up in the trailer and heads out on the trail like she's been there 100 times before. If you point her at a jump, she's willing and has cute form, too! She even neck reins and moves off your leg nicely. If you ask her for speed, she's got it. She would be perfect for gymkannas, trail riding, lessons, breeding or whatever else you'd like to do. I've listed her as appropriate for a novice rider only because she actually goes when you ask her to. A beginner might be a bit intimidated with her "get up and go". She loads and trailers well, is good with her feet and clips, ties, etc.

frosty2

This striking gelding is looking for a special somone for him to call his own. He is personable and willing, but a bit green still. I predict he'll end up being the sweet, dependable type (even a bit on the lazy side) with some consistency. He is broke to ride (english or western tack), but has been turned out to pasture for the last year and is here with me to get "back in the saddle". I will have in him training through the summer - please contact me for updates on his progress.
